Florence Nightingale Museum
Join the Florence Nightingale Museum as a Treasurer or Trustee and help lead this beloved institution into its exciting next chapter — honouring a global icon, inspiring future generations and shaping a bold, inclusive future.
Who we are
The Florence Nightingale Museum (FNM) is a much-loved cultural institution that celebrates the life, work and enduring impact of one of history’s most iconic figures. Located within St Thomas’ Hospital, just across Westminster Bridge, it brings to life the story of Florence Nightingale — pioneer of modern nursing, statistics and public health reform — through immersive storytelling and a unique collection of personal artefacts. Beyond her work in the Crimea, we explore her impact on STEM, society and gender, connecting her 19th-century reforms to contemporary issues in healthcare and data science.
This is a key time for the museum as its focus shifts toward strategic growth. We are seeking four dynamic and committed Trustees to join our Board and help us achieve an inspiring and sustainable future for the museum.
As the museum embarks on its “Pioneering Change” strategic framework, new Trustees will play a vital role in shaping our mission, ensuring financial sustainability and potentially guiding the museum toward a new, long-term location.
This is a rare opportunity to contribute your expertise to a world-renowned institution that inspires thousands of visitors and school children every year.
