Designed by Esther

Set up in 2017, Designed by Esther has been supported by the Prince’s Trust and works with heritage sites to create bespoke designs for their gift shop.

Highlighting the unique character and historical connection to the site is the primary focus for the design. Having first hand experience of the site allows a more authentic representation for the design, so visitors can relate more deeply.

Taking the time to speak to staff members who have seen the changes through the years, and to visitors young and old to hear their experiences, allows for a much more in depth understanding of the organisation which always strengthens the design.

Previous clients include Historic Dockyard Chatham, Chelsea Pensioners, Royal Engineers Museum, Brighton Museums, the Mary Rose Museum, West Dean College, Rochester Cathedral and Kent County Show.
