From a village at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, designer and illustrator Zoe Mingos has created a collection of uplifting and practical homewares and gifts that bring the colours of our most celebrated British landscapes together in a perfect mix and match range.
The Village Green’s fine bone china mugs, 100% cotton tea towels and other stylish homewares, including kitchen textiles and stationery, bring home the sense of space and nature our wonderful and unique countryside has to offer. The range is the perfect antithesis to most British souvenir designs that are either London-centric or cultural site specific. ‘The Colours of the Countryside’ celebrates the nation as a whole.
“My designs use contemporary colourways, so the range brings both modern and traditional homes to life with practical products that reflect our renewed love of the outdoors,” explains Zoe. “They give a real sense of positivity, to brighten any day of the year. They also make great gifts for visitors and staycationers alike.”
Zoe is passionate about delivering the highest quality and minimising the environmental impact too – hence the ‘Green’ in the name. The collection is produced by UK manufacturers and comes in sustainable packaging.
The range is constantly being extended and bespoke products and designs are available. Zoe has 25 years’ experience as a designer for many heritage and cultural organisations in the UK, including Imperial War Museums, Hampshire Cultural Trust and Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, and is also available for design and consultation work.
