Imperial War Museum Trading Company Ltd.

Imperial War Museums (IWM) is seeking to appoint three new Directors to the IWM Trading Company Ltd. Board, with expertise in:

  • Destination Marketing
  • Brand licensing
  • Loyalty/ Membership organisations

These appointments will be for an initial period of three years and subject to the approval of the IWM Board of Trustees.

Imperial War Museums (IWM) is a global authority on conflict and its impact on people’s lives. Our family of five museums uncover the causes, course and consequences of war, from the First World War through to present-day conflict.

IWM is uniquely placed to help people better understand the world around them. Using the human stories of service, sacrifice, innovation and resilience contained within our collections, we connect past and present through an exploration of the causes, course and consequences of war and conflict.

The IWM Trading Company is a Medium sized company, where all IWM’s commercial and public engagement activities are accounted for. The Trading Company Board monitors profit and loss of commercial activity outside of admissions and the Directors provide advice and expertise on commercial activity. The performance of the Company is intrinsically linked to that of the Museum, and to the brand and reputation of the Museum.
