Midlands Talking Shop

Join us at the Richard III Visitor Centre on Monday 18 November for our next Midlands Talking Shop.

We are doing things a little differently this time. Alongside the usual opportunities to talk to other delegates, ask questions and share your KPIs, this will not be a speaker led session. It will be an interactive Visual Merchandising Workshop. There will be a presentation on how to offer the best experience to your customers and achieve commercial success with engaging displays making the most of your shop layout and identifying hotspots.

The session will rely on input from everyone in the group. If you have merchandising in your shop that you are proud of and that works, please take a photo and send it to sue.croxford@culturalenterprises.org.uk before 11 November and we can upload the image and all gain inspiration.

Alternatively, do you have a black hole in your shop where nothing seems to work?  Do you have products that never look quite right on the shelf?  Take some photos and send them to Sue before the meeting and perhaps members of the group will help you find a solution.

We would also love to see examples of any clever merchandising in a local store or giftshop, or just in a magazine, perhaps using props, or inspired colour combinations. Please either print the picture or forward to Sue.

This will be a lively workshop so please give this some thought before the 11 November and come along with your ideas and questions. Bring some products with you if it’s easier.
