Regional Talking Shops

Regional Talking Shops are a great way to network with other cultural venues in your region, sharing knowledge and best practice, and reflecting on life in the commercial cultural sector in a friendly and informal way. Each meeting’s agenda covers topics of commercial interest, discussion points and case studies from group members.

Talking Shops are free for Association members and open to all staff working in cultural venues. Meetings are currently being run in the North West, Yorkshire, East Midlands, West Midlands, London, South East and South West. Yorkshire Talking Shop

Join us for our next Yorkshire Talking Shop on Wednesday 30 October at The Deep, a huge aquarium with over 3000 creatures, including sharks and sawfish, and hear from the team about how their business operates, and in particular the steps they are taking with product selection and sustainability.


London & South East Talking Shop

A rare opportunity to see how the National Archives approach their retail offer and to visit their shop.


South West Talking Shop

We are very grateful that Bristol Museums are once again hosting this Talking Shop at the conveniently sited M Shed on Monday 11 November when the team will talk through the refit that has taken place at M Shed and the trading results throughout the summer.


Midlands Talking Shop

Join us at the Richard III Visitor Centre on Monday 18 November for our next Midlands Talking Shop.


Talking Shop Scotland

Join us at the very first Talking Shop Scotland taking place in Glasgow on the Wednesday 27 November.
